Before the festive delivery period, managers receive a wave of requests for the days just after it. Each request arrives with dates and leave type, made by the technician or sales consultant from a phone, for a full day or a half day, with the balance shown alongside.

In the workshop, skills are scarce. The works manager checks team coverage before approving, which shows how many technicians are already off that day, and conflict detection on the team calendar marks the case where the only two diagnostic technicians have requested the same Saturday. A dealer group with several outlets can run one set of leave policies for all of them. Custom policies and eligibility criteria handle the differences, such as ITI trainees on probation and senior advisors with longer service.

Department reports tell the dealer principal whether the workshop or the showroom has the higher absenteeism, and trend analysis shows how it moves through the year. The accounts department receives balances and leave-without-pay days for each employee from the leave report. A department calendar for sales, service and spares at each outlet shows the weeks ahead. That supports plain decisions, such as asking staff to avoid leave in delivery week or moving a technician between outlets for a few days.
